I'm a parent. How can I register my child if they don't have an email (or I don't want to use it!)?

At Hands On Atlanta, we understand that safety and security are always top priorities—especially when it comes to creating meaningful volunteer experiences for children and families. We also recognize that not every child may have their own email address, or that families may prefer not to use their child’s email when registering for an opportunity.

That’s why we have a simple, easy-to-use solution for families who want to register their child for an Opportunity with Hands On Atlanta without using a separate email address: email aliases!

Email aliases are modified versions of an existing email address that Hands On Atlanta can recognize as unique logins. Any messages sent to the alias will still be delivered to your primary email inbox, ensuring you receive important updates while maintaining a separate profile for your child’s volunteer participation.

We recommend using email aliases because they help ensure you don’t miss important Opportunity updates and allow your child to have their own profile for future registrations and volunteer experiences.

Since each email provider handles aliases differently, we recommend reviewing your provider’s guidelines for creating and managing email aliases. Below are some common solutions to help you get started:

For G-Mail:

Use "+" and then add your child's first & last name in this format:

[email protected] > [email protected]

For Yahoo:

For Outlook:
