Hands On Atlanta Policies for Nonprofits + Projects

Hands On Atlanta is all about meeting urgent needs in our community. There are a few projects + roles that fall outside our policies, and won't be approved to go on our calendar:

1. Work for private individuals independent of a nonprofit agency

2. Work for political campaigns and other partisan activities

3. Making direct financial asks as part of fundraising activities

4. Taking part in direct religious proselytizing or political lobbying

5. Serving with non-mission related tasks or events (serving concessions, parking assistance and/or ushering at sporting or entertainment events)

Don't forget, all projects must be submitted 2 weeks in advance of the project date. If it's shorter notice than that, we may not be able to approve. Learn more about our research that lead to this policy, here.

Additionally, our staff reviews each project before making it live on our platform. We ensure that the project isn't outside of our policies, and we also check for spelling errors, conflicting information, or out-of-the-ordinary requests. You may get some questions about these, or be asked to make revisions!

If you ever have questions about what is and isn't within our policies, please contact Claire at [email protected].
