How do I add volunteers to groups?

Adding volunteers to groups is a fantastic way to segment your volunteers into a variety of categories.


Volunteers who complete any Opportunities you have created are automatically added into groups. This can be useful for reaching back out to past volunteers or for viewing data.


In addition, you can create custom groups for volunteers that you wish to segment into specific categories. For example, you may have private Opportunities designed for only trained volunteers who have the credentials or skills necessary. Then, you can create private Opportunities that only these volunteers can access.


Finally, you can upload a CSV file to invite a list of volunteers to a group. If you have a big list of volunteers, you can send them an invite and have them automatically added to a designated group. For example, you may have a private Holiday Drive Opportunity and have a list of 100 volunteers. You can easily upload a CSV file with the volunteer information and they will be added to the group you have created beforehand.
