What makes a good title?

Titles are one of the first things that potential volunteers will see, so you want to make sure you're getting the most out of it!
The best performing Opportunities have titles that are short and sweet. The trick is to use just a few key words to give the prospective volunteer a taste of what the Opportunity is about. Titles like “Beach Cleanup” or “Bowling for Autism” catches a reader's attention, gives them an overall idea, and makes them want to click to find out more.
Based on our research we’ve found that Opportunities perform best with titles that:
- Are short, simple and positive
- Speak exactly to what volunteers will be doing
- DO NOT include the word "Volunteer"
Be sure not to waste any title space with excess or redundant words! An example of this is "Volunteer with the Hands On Atlanta".
