Hands On Atlanta highly encourages strong communication with your registered volunteers, your current volunteers and your past volunteers! Did you know, that one of the top 3 most used words in volunteer feedback, is 'communication'? Yeah, it's really that important!
Our platform sends out some automatic communications to volunteers, and if the volunteer has opted in for texts, they'll get those as well. So before you send messages to volunteers, you'll want to make sure the system hasn't already done it for you! But there are times when you'll need to send other communications, and here's how.
From the opportunity, you can hit the three little dots, and 'message participants' will appear in the dropdown.

A window will pop up just like the one below, where you can select the timeslot, delivery method (email, text or both), and then write your subject line + message.

Once you hit the blue "Send" button, the message will go directly to the inbox of the volunteers who have registered for the timeslot you selected!
You may want to email your past volunteers - you can do that too, learn more here!
